HiRISE Begins Next Phase of $2.5 Million Window and Door Replacement at Skyline Plaza

ROCKVILLE, MD (July 2012) – HiRISE has begun a $2.5 million, 300-window replacement project at Skyline Plaza in Alexandria, VA—the third of the iconic Skyline condominium towers to undergo balcony door and window upgrades. Over the past 18 months, HiRISE has replaced thousands of windows and balcony doors across the three high-rise buildings, enhancing energy efficiency, natural light, and overall comfort for residents.

Project Highlights:

  • Replacement of outdated steel balcony doors with glass and aluminum-frame terrace doors.
  • Installation of 300 new windows to maximize light, reduce air infiltration, and improve energy efficiency.
  • Finishes carefully selected to complement the building’s architectural style.

Collaborators:

Manufacturer: Thermal Windows, Inc.

“The new windows and doors at Skyline will make an enormous difference in the amount of natural light, quiet, and ease of operation,” said HiRISE President Kevin Vincent. “Owners benefit from extraordinary views, and these upgrades will maximize that amenity while also improving energy performance.” HiRISE extends its appreciation to the Skyline Condominium owners and management for their continued trust in delivering high-quality, efficient solutions.
